ICCIC Delegation visits London and Manchester
September 26, 2018 - September 29, 2018
The 8- person delegation from the ICCIC (International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Cooperatives), led by Michael Crook, will be here for a short visit from Wednesday 26th to Saturday 29th September.
All SACU members are welcome to join us.
The outline programme is as follows:
Wednesday 26th September: arrive Heathrow, early evening
Thursday 27th September: visit to Harpenden and St George’s School (George Hogg’s former school) and then on to the Needham Research Institute in Cambridge, then evening journey to Manchester
Friday 28th September: day in Manchester, returning in the evening to London. Evening dinner at 8.00pm for the delegation and SACU friends at the President Hotel, 56-60 Guilford Street, London WC1 1DB
Saturday 29th September: afternoon visit to Oxford then on to Heathrow for flight back to Beijing
This will be a great opportunity to meet ICCIC members who have exceptional experience in organising self-help activities and training in cooperative business in the poorer rural areas of China. It will also be a chance to learn more about new developments in the latest reforms to ‘revitalise the rural areas’.
