The Meridian Society’s Chinese New Year Celebrations

The Meridian Society invites all to join their Chinese New Year celebration. First they will be going for a Chinese new year meal at The Bamboo Flute where owner, Guo Yue, will be host with delicious food and good company. Afterwards the group will be going to BFI Southbank for the documentary ‘China’s Van Goghs’ about Zhao Xiaoyong, a peasant-turned-painter whose family business has produced over 100,000 copies of Vincent Van Gogh artworks. The two can be booked separately or together.

Times:

14.45 for 3pm at The Bamboo Flute

5.45 for 6.00pm at BFI Southbank

As spaces in both venues are limited please email themeridiansociety@gmail.com to reserve your place and avoid disappointment. The deadline for booking is Sunday 4th February with payment as soon as possible and no later than Friday 9th February. Priority will be given to current Meridian Society members, supporters who book for both events, then on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

* concessions for the film are available to seniors, students, unwaged and disabled (evidence required on the day).
Please note: Members of BFI pay lower prices and are advised to buy their own tickets.

Places will be confirmed on receipt of payment. Payment should therefore be made as soon as possible and no later than Friday 9th February.
