SACU Annual General Meeting – 21 June 2025 (Online)

SACU members are warmly invited to SACU’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place online on Saturday, 21 June 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (BST).
AGM papers and Zoom link have been circulated to all members.
Call for Council Nominations
As part of the AGM, nominations for SACU Council members are invited. This year, we particularly need to appoint two officers for the key roles of:
- Chair
- Treasurer
We are also seeking members who can contribute their expertise in the following areas:
- Zoom Management
- Social Media
- Promotions
If you are interested in standing for election, or would like to nominate someone, please send nominations to Cheryl Yu, SACU Secretary, at cheryl@sacu.org.uk by 15 June 2025.
Nominated individuals will be invited to give a brief statement during the AGM before members vote.
Looking Ahead: SACU 2030
The year 2025 is a significant milestone for SACU as we mark:
- The 60th anniversary of the Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding
- The 110th anniversary of George Hogg
In addition to reflecting on our achievements and challenges, we will be using this year’s AGM to open a wider discussion on the future direction of SACU. We want to ensure we continue to stay relevant and committed to our founding objectives in the years leading up to 2030.
