Long-time SACU member John Gittings will give a talk on “China Watching” during the GPCR (Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution) at SOAS on Monday 9 April at 5.00 pm. John Gittings is former Guardian East Asia Editor whose first trip to China was in 1971 with a SACU delegation. He spoke at our 50th Anniversary symposium on his memories of the early China tours he took with SACU. Venue: Room G3, College Buildings.
